Declan does this all the time in restaurants...so funny.






Today he went to school with me 1/2 the day. Loved it. He read to the kids and they clapped. They also sang Happy Birthday, because tomorrow he'll be 6! I'll attach a photo taken today as she showed the boys how to play Crazy Machines (really cool game for the computer).

Casey's latest blog inspired me to do a quick post:

On the way to school this week Declan schooled ME on music:

D: "Hey Mom, did you know there are THREE kinds of music?"
M: "Really? What are they?"
D: "There is Rock Star, Musician, and Country. John Lennon sounds like a Rock Star, but he's really Musician. Paul McCartney is Rock Star, and I know a lot of Country singers."

(clearly we're still listening to a lot of Lennon lately and I just downloaded my first McCartney song)

Also this week:

D: (at a local Starbucks) "Hey Mom, this is that music you like (song from the Mac Air ad)."
M: "Yeah, it is"
D: "Well...it sounds like Muzak to me." (cheeky thing isn't he...think lyrics and history behind the song How Do You Sleep by Lennon.)

So...there is no 'Kid Music' happening in my car, as Casey talks about.
